How well are you attuned to the periphery, that blurry zone just outside your area of focus? This program focuses on spotting the important weak signals amid all the noise and makes sense of them so that you can act on opportunities ahead of competition or recognize the early signs of trouble before they escalate into major problems.

Objectives
DSI's Peripheral Vision programs help companies build a common language and shared view of how organizations can develop capacity for peripheral vision. Senior managers and project team members are led through presentations, case study discussions and small group work. DSI tailors custom workshops to help participants, shaping the content and length of the workshop to fit your needs. The main workshop objective is to enable participants to understand and bridge the "vigilance gap" using a detailed peripheral vision framework.

The session will be interactive, in the manner of a seminar at a top business school, with an emphasis on shared learning and understanding. The selected in-depth case studies will provide all the specific background needed to participate in and benefit from the session. Participants will acquire frameworks and tools that will help them think about the right kind of innovation for their organization, as well as how to successfully integrate innovation into organizations, and through industry level analysis learn how to better think about innovation as a competitive tool.

Benefits
Participants in our workshops leave with an effective method to identify and interpret weak signals in the periphery. They will learn the principles of Dr. Paul Schoemaker's peripheral vision theories and apply tangible tools and methods to establish this capability within their organization.

Participants will:

  • Learn how to effectively implement a framework to detect, interpret and act on outliers.
  • Understand how their organization stack up against other in term of peripheral vision need and capability
  • Learn how to build a concert agenda for action.
